Making the Best Use of the Time

Making the Best Use of the Time

Ephesians 5:15-16

5 Ways to make better use of your time.

  1. SEIZE YOUR MORNINGS. - Early morning time with the Lord. Make the best use of your time - with prayer. Thank the LORD that you are a child of God. Text someone an encouraging note. Charles Simeon - got up at 4 AM and prayed for 4 hours. If you only have 14 minutes, use 14 minutes.
  2. SEIZE your COMMUTE. - Memorize Scripture. Pray for others or yourself. Listen to an audio book, podcast or sermon.
  3. SEIZE LIFE'S INTERRUPTIONS - Use unexpected moments or interruptions. Think of Acts 16 - Paul & Silas in prison. They seized the time to praise and pray. John Bunyan in Prison wrote Pilgrim's Progress.
  4. Seize YOUR YOUTH. Remember the creator! Be like Daniel and serve even when young. Psalm 90:12 - teach us to number our days to get a heart of wisdom. James 4:13-17
  5. Seize YOUR LAST YEARS. Never too late to seize every opportunity for Christ.

C. T. Studd reminds us:
Only one life, 'twill soon be past,
Only what's done for Christ will last.
Only one life, yes only one,
Soon will its fleeting hours be done;
Then, in 'that day' my Lord to meet,
And stand before His Judgement seat.
