Ephesians 4:29

Words are powerful. Our God is a communicating God and he has made people communicators.

Ephesians, chapter one, shows God communicating His power through his Word - the Gospel. In our passage today, Ephesians 4:29, He tells us how to live the Christian life; how to change, & how to speak to each other. God's commands assume His enablement for us through His Spirit. 

Words are powerful, speech is important, it's critical in our relationships.  It's also critical to the health and unity of the Church.

We learn from this verse that our speech should be: 
1) WHOLE SOME SPEECH
2) BENEFICIAL
3) TIMELY
