What is the Gospel?
Speaker: Jason Whitley Series: So Great a Salvation Scripture: John 3:16
In the Bible we find multiple concise definitions of the Gospel scattered across various books. Some of these are found in 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Romans 1:1, and notably in John 3:16. We also find that the Gospel contained in different books and penned by different human authors are exactly the same: it is first and foremost about what God has done through Christ. With the cohesion and thematic significance that the Holy Spirit shows in explaining the Gospel, it is necessary that we answer the question: What is the gospel?
What is the Gospel?
- It is good news.
- It is God’s news.
- It is saving news.
“The oldest news in the world is still the best news.”
NOTE: We will be taking a break from the ongoing series, The Gospel According to Mark, to begin a new series, So Great a Salvation. This is the first sermon in that series.
