Most of the Minor Prophets speak to Israel and other nations telling them to turn from their gods to God, but the book of Jonah is different. Jonah’s is a biographical story. It’s four chapters chronicles the events surrounding the life of a prophet around the mid-8th Century, B.C. when he witnessed the greatest revival among non-Israelites of that era.
We learn from Jonah’s story that God is a saving God sand His kindness should lead us to repentance.
