Eyewitnesses of His Majesty

This Gospel of Jesus, penned by Mark and authored by Peter, was written to the the Roman church at the start of their persecution. In his letter to the exiled Christians, Peter equates the faith he possesses (as an apostle) to that of every other Christian. He says this even though he was an eyewitness to the Majesty of Jesus Christ in the Transfiguration. Yet, Peter expresses clearly to the Christians that possession of the Scriptures is better than being an eyewitness to the Transfiguration. The Word stands above all.
