Today, Pastor Jason shares some of the lessons he has learned in this most interesting year.

Twenty Lessons Learned in 2020

  1. We cannot boast about tomorrow. (James 4:13-17)
  2. God does not need me to advance His Kingdom. (2 Corinthians 4:7)
  3. Sound doctrine does not guarantee saving faith. (James 2:19)
  4. The hard sayings of Jesus must not be put aside. (2 Peter 3:15)
  5. Faithfulness to gather with God’s people is more important than life. (Hebrews 10:24)
  6. Contentment is more valuable than comfort. (Hebrews 13:5; Philippians 4:11-13)
  7. My holiness is not just about me. (James 5:16)
  8. The church moves forward on its knees.
  9. God may bring more good out of 2020 than we can imagine.
  10. All that takes place on Sunday is irreplaceable.
  11. Your government is God’s servant. (Romans 13:1)
  12. Jesus’ imminent return should change how we live.
  13. Buildings and property are an advantage to the church.
  14. The Psalms are not worn out enough in our lives.
  15. The tongue is powerful. (James 1:26)
  16. We know too little of church history.
  17. We can always make better use of our time. (Psalm 90:10)
  18. Your trials keep you from ruin.
  19. Sickness brings great spiritual benefits.
  20. Nothing will separate us from the love of Christ. (Romans 8:35)
