Mary’s Magnificat

Speaker: Jason Whitley Series: Christmas Devotions & Sermons Topic: Christmas Scripture: Luke 1:46–55

Luke’s record of the Gospel begins with the account of three women - Elizabeth (Luke 1:24-25,39-45), Mary (Luke 1:26-56), and Anna (Luke 2:36-38). This was very peculiar in a culture that did not assign much social status to women. Today’s sermon explores Mary’s account. What can we learn from this most blessed teenager about responding properly to the Gospel?

Three Things We Can Learn from Mary

  1. Mary’s hurry
  2. Mary’s humility
  3. Mary’s hymn

NOTE: This is the sermon of the Christmas service for 2020.
