You and the Law

This far in the book of Galatians, the issue of righteousness and the instrument of justification is further addressed. The disagreement between Paul and the Judaizers can be summarized in one question: Who are the sons of Abraham? Paul believes it is those of the faith. The Judaizers, on the other hand, believe it is those who keep the Law. Paul addresses their erroneous belief in the following points:

Five Reasons to NOT Rely Upon the Law

1. You must obey all of it.
2. You are a sinner.
3. You are cursed.
4. Your righteousness comes only by faith.
5. You misunderstand the purpose of the Law.
