Pastor Kress graduated in 1989 from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications.  He married Elizabeth in 1996, and they have two young sons, EJ and Carson.  He received a Master’s of Divinity (Mdiv) from The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California.

Before coming to Grace Community Bible Church in November 2001, he served as a Pastoral Intern at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California (1995-98) and Assistant General Manager of William Carey Library Publishers (1999-2001).

Pastor Kress and Elizabeth also have started an independent Christian publishing company—Kress Christian Publications.
